Annette Freston, NCTM
Owner & Founder of Music for Life
Annette M. Freston, founder of Music for Life, has played piano for over 40 years. Ms. Freston, a Nationally Certified Music Teacher, holds a Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor’s from Utah State University. Ms. Freston studied piano with Marlene Bachelder and Dr. Daniel C. Harrison and is a state music competition winner. Ms. Freston has instructed piano and harp in Utah, Nevada and Arizona. Ms. Freston is a member of the MTNA and the AMTA. Ms. Freston is also a community college associate faculty, and her favorite is time spent teaching children so that she can share her love and excitement of music. Ms. Freston was presented with the Teachers of Distinction Award in 2019 by The Royal Conservatory, which is a great honor.
Violin, Viola, Guitar & Mandolin Instructor
Jacinda Parslow George was classically trained in the Suzuki Classical Method for over 12 years in both Violin and Viola. Jacinda played with the Utah Old Time Fiddlers for five years. At age 13, placed 1st at the Utah Old Time Fiddler’s Contest in Salina, Utah. The first-place win gave her the opportunity to compete at the National Old Time Fiddler’s Contest in Weiser, Idaho. Between ages 14-18, she attended the Colorado Chapter of the American String Teacher’s Association string camp in Rangely, Colorado, where at 14 was 4th chair in the viola section. During her final year, at age 18, was 1st chair in the viola section. Jacinda teaches violin, mandolin and guitar. Follow Jacinda on Facebook at the link below. Cello, Double Bass & Electric Bass Instructor
Dante Zubel is one of the Uintah Basin’s most sought-after ‘cellists, bassists, and composers. Dante has been studying with many notable musicians and teachers from all around the world since he was only 10 years old and has been teaching and performing professionally since he was 14 years old. On top of teaching the ‘cello, double bass, and electric bass in all styles, Dante also performs all over the country, spreading his knowledge and joy of music wherever he goes. In addition to working as a freelance musician and composer, Dante is a founding member of local jazz group, Hummus, and is a member of various other bands and symphony orchestras in the state of Utah.
